The logo is a graphical representation of the growth & development of an individual impacted by vocational training & focused skill development enabled by The Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry in tandem with Corporates.
 
The circular movement reiterated by the repetitive incremental figures of the individual signifies continuity, constant movement and consistent growth.

The color of the individual graphic starts from a glowing yellow to an emphatic red to emphasize the empowerment of the individual through focused vocational training & skill development.

Vocational Training and Skill Development Centre

As a flagship activity of the 175th year, the Chamber embarked on an ambitious Project to start a Vocational Training and Skill Development Centre. The foundation for this was laid by His Excellency       Dr. K Rosaiah, the Governor of Tamilnadu on the Chamber Day on 29th September 2011. The aim is to make this a Centre of Excellence for Skill Development.

The USP of the Chamber is close proximity to member Industries which enables the Chamber to understand the dynamic needs of the Industries and design the training programs to suit their needs, besides having an edge in helping the trainees get placed in the Industries . The Chamber has already rolled out few programs to improve the skill and employability of the TN youth.

The Chamber joins hands with PARFI to create skilled manpower.

PanIIT Alumni Reach For India Foundation, a Section-8 not-for-profit social enterprise setup and managed by PanIITians that operates a chain of rural skill gurukuls to train and place underprivileged candidates, typically school dropouts, through a novel and innovative model. PARFI is headquartered at IIT Bombay & having its branch office at IIT Madras, hereby referred as “PanIIT Alumni Reach for India (PARFI).

MCCI and Pan IIT Alumni Reach for India Foundation have joined hands to set up Joint Training facilities with the objective to train the unskilled youth and up skill the semi-skilled work force in order to bridge the skill deficits, promote employability and enhance the availability of well trained and competent human resources at entry level to industries in Tamil Nadu

A few students who had undergone training were awarded their certificates during our 181st Annual General Meeting. They have been placed in different Corporate companies. More such trainings would follow.
