The Chamber jointly with IIT- Madras is organizing a workshop on “Mapping on-ground challenges related to Waste Water and Land-use “ on 5^th July, 2018 from 11am to 4pm at Hall 1 Sarabhai, IIT – Madras, Research Park, Kanagam Rd. Chennai 113

 

This workshop forms an input to a project study on ‘A Platform for Integrated Governance in Metropolitan Chennai: Developing Resilience Scenarios and Strategies through Participatory Simulations’. The study is being done by Okapi Research & Advisory (Okapi), IIT Madras, Center for Urbanization, Buildings, and Environment (CUBE) and Fields of View (FoV). This study will undertake research to develop technology-based tools and methods that can be used by planners to develop Chennai into a sustainable city.

 

The Chamber through its Sustainable Chennai Forum and its recent initiatives of the Chennai Urban Observatory and being an associate partner of UN-Habitat’s World Urban Campaign focuses on areas like Energy, Water, Waste Management, Transport and Urban Greening for the City of Chennai. This workshop will help identify and deliberate on-the-ground challenges related to waste, water, and land-use; and identify potential strategies for integrated interventions.

 

The workshop will be divided into six sessions. The agenda proposed is as follows :

Session 3	30 minutes	Actor mapping - 2
Session 4	45 minutes	Potential future scenarios
