Program on Business Improvement & Problem Solving Methodology using LEAN & 6 SIGMA

The Madras Chamber has scheduled a one day program on the topic “ Business Improvement & Problem Solving Methodology using LEAN & 6 SIGMA” between at 10 am to 5.00p.m on Wednesday, 30th August 2017.  The program will be held in the MCCI Conference room, Karumuttu centre, 1st Floor, 634 Anna Salai, Chennai-600035.
Members are aware that Lean Six Sigma is a business approach for continual improvement which focuses on reducing waste and product variation from manufacturing, service or design processes. Lean refers to maximizing customer value and minimizing waste and optimising the resources. Six Sigma is  on-going effort to continually reduce process and product variation through a defined project approach. These two approaches drive continual improvement and help the businesses to improve their competitiveness.
To understand these  important principles and their application in business , the Chamber has organised the above program on 30th August for the benefit of Members. 

The agenda would be: 

9.30am – Registration

10 to1 pm – Business Processes & Problem Solving Methodology

1 pm to 2 pm – Lunch Break

2 pm to 5 pm – Lean Principles & Hands on Business Simulation

5 pm to 5.30 pm – Interactive Session

The Chamber has engaged Mr.R.Babu, Consultant, KRAB Business & Engineering Consultants, Chennai as the key resource person for this training . He comes with 25 years of industrial experience across various products to handle the sessions. He is an Associated Member in Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering from Institution of Engineers India and completed Masters in Manufactuing Automation from MIT. With 15 years of successful Product Testing, Development and implementation knowledge, he possesses more than a decade of hands on 6 SIGMA, Lean expertise obtained in CATERPILLAR as a 6Sigma belt. He had successfully led and implemented more than 50 projects across various functions, collaborating with multiple global teams spread across India, US, China, South America and Europe. During his tenure, he trained many engineers and imparted 6 Sigma training to more than 500 executives.

Subsidised Participation Fee:  Rs.1000 plus GST 18% = Rs.1180 per delegate – to cover the faculty fee, lunch and other expenses. Cheque in favour of The Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
