The Mediation is a voluntary process by which parties can settle their disputes through good faith discussions, facilitated by a neutral third party who is a qualified and trained mediator.
Mediation was formally introduced in our laws in 1996 and 2002 as appropriate processes for dispute resolution but has not been fully utilized by the business community. Mediation is an important process to resolve commercial disputes and has a lot of advantages.
We are happy to inform you that the Madras Chamber is organizing a two hour Mediation Awareness program on 30th May 2017 from 4 pm to 6 pm to understand the mediation processes and its advantages. The meeting will be held in the MCCI Conference room, (Ist floor) Karumuttu centre, 634 Anna Salai, Chennai-600035.
The speakers for the meeting are representatives from Foundation for Comprehensive Dispute Resolution (FCDR). FCDR is founded by 5 advocates who have been mediators with the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre at the High Court.

There is no participation fee for the meeting, However a line in confirmation from Chamber is must. The meeting will conclude with High tea.
